Examinations are an indispensable part of educational process, as some form of assessment is necessary to determine the effectiveness of teaching learning process and their internalization by learners and assessment is done in phased manner as per the guidelines laid by CBSE in the process of evaluation called CCE- Continuous and comprehensive evaluation.
Scholastic Assessment (Part I) It comprises Formative and summative assessment as shown below.
Formative Assessment starts with the onset of Term I. Multiple assessment is done by selecting any 2/3 techniques from the following Assignments, Quizzes, and competition, Role play, pen & paper test (objective), project, Debates, Elocution, Group discussions, experiments. Two assessment per term are done, termed as FA 1 &FA 2 in I term and FA 3 & FA 4 in II term.
Summative Assessment is conducted at the end of the term in the form of written examination. One Summative assessment per term is done termed as SA 1 in I term and SA 2 in II term.
The desirable behavior related to learner's life skills, attitude, interests, values, co-curricular activities and physical health are described as skills to be acquired in co-scholastic domain. Assessment is done as per guideline laid by CBSE.
