As per the recent Examination reform initiated by the board ,the new scheme of assessment and examination will be followed from academic session 2018-19. Few notable changes are given below:

  • There is restoration of class X Board Examination with effect from session 2017-18
  • Class X scheme:
    • There is restoration of class X Board Examination with effect from session 2017-18
    • The board will conduct clad X Examination for 80 marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus
    • Marks and grades both will be awarded for individual subjects
    • Internal Assessment of 20 marks will be done in school, which comprises periodic tests of weight age 10 marks, subject enrichment activities’ of weight age 5 marks and notebook submission of weight age 5 marks and co-scholastic assessment
  • Class IX scheme: The Assessment Structure and Examination pattern for class IX will be more or less similar to class X
  • Assessment scheme of classes VI to VIII- for three languages (English, Hindi and Sanskrit) and all other subjects

Term - 1 (100 Marks)
(1st Half of the Session)
20 Marks Periodic Assessment (PA) + 80 Marks for Half Yearly Exam

Periodic Assessment - 20 Marks

  • Periodic Test 10 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of Test Dates by school
  • Note book submission 5 marks at term end
  • Subject enrichment activity 5 marks at term end.

Half Yearly Exam

  • Written exam for 80 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of half yearly exam dated by school.

Term - 2 (100 Marks)

20 Marks Periodic Assessment (PA) + 80 Marks for Yearly Exam

Periodic Assessment - 20 Marks

  • Periodic test 10 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of test dated by school.
  • Note book submission 5 marks at term end
  • Subject enrichment activity 5 marks at term end.

Yearly Exam

  • Written exam for 80 marks with syllabus coverege as below:
    • Class VI:10% of 1st term covering significant topics+ entire syllabus of 2nd term.
    • Class VII:20% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term.
    • Class VIII:30% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term.

Assessment Scheme For Class I To V

  • The assessment and examination pattern of class I to V will be similar to that classes VI to VIII scheme except the portion of syllabus in yearly examination. In class I to v yearly examination will be cover only portion taught in second term.
  • Sanskrit is included in Class V as introductory subject to prepare the students for third language.
  • Grading scale for Scholastic Areas – (Class I to Class IX).

Grading Scale for Co-Scholastic Assessment for IX & X will be 5 points scale (A to E):

  • Examination Bye-Laws a minimum of 75% attendance for classes 9-12 and 80% for classes 1-8 during the academic year is required and no relaxation of any kind will be granted to a students who does not fulfill the requirements.
  • When a pupil is admitted he/ she shall not be placed in any class higher than that for which the TC shows him/ her to be qualified or will be promoted before the end of the school year.
  • Willful breach of the regulation for the conduct of the examination hall and if subsequently by canceling the paper.
  • Candidates who are detected in giving or obtaining or attempting to give or obtain unfair assistance or who otherwise are detected in any dishonesty whatsoever will be expelled from the examination room forthwith and be refused admission to subsequent papers or expelled from the school.
  • Reports will be withheld for nonpayment of school dues.
  • Absence from the examinations of a subject excludes students from being reckoned in the order of merit in the examination.
  • For promotion a student has to obtain at least 40% marks in every subject.
  • Promotion refused will not be reconsidered.
